Açai: a real secret of wellness

Everybody talks about them, but what are these magical berries?

The açai berries are the fruits of a palm (scientifical name: Euterpe Oleracea) that grows in Amazonia, in particular in the rainforests of the  northern of Brazil. The plant is tall  about 20/30 mt tall, with pinnate leaves up to 2mt.

The fruit is similar to a black grape, but with less pulp and a unique big seed. The berries contain a high quantity of nutrients and for this reason they are considered a superfood; in effect they are rich in potassium, fibres, calcium, phosphorus, proteins, vitamins (C, E, B1, B2, B3) and fatty acids (Omega-9 and Omega-6).

The  açai is a very panacea for our body thanks to its high antioxidant power and its numerous properties. In particular, these little fruits aid to contrast the cutaneous aging, favor the lost of weight, have an analgesic and decongestant action, protect to the cholesterol in eccess and to cardiovascular diseases, contrast the stress and the fatigue.

The berries of boauty, in this way the açai is called in Brazil, is also ideal for cosmetical therapy, for example they are perfect for the cure of the hair and the nails, and to have a bright skin.
