Today we would present you the Latte alla Portoghese, a dessert very famous in Toscany, that it is similar to a pudding.


 1l whole milk

- 2 eggs 

- 4 yolks

- 150g sugar

- 1 packet of vanilla

- 1 jar of Vis wild berries in syrup



In a sauce-pan boil the milk with the sugar and the vanilla for 15 minutes a low fire. In the meantime whisk the egg and the yolks until you obtain a clear and frothy mixture.

Filter the milk through a sieve and add it to the eggs. Pour the mixture into a pudding stamp. Dispose the pudding stamp into a sauce-pan previously filled with water (heigh of the water: half of the pudding stamp). Cover it with tin foil and cook in a pre-heated oven to 150°C for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Take out off the oven and let it cold. Remove the pudding stamp and dispose the dessert over a dish. Cover the sweet with wild berries in syrup and serve.
